About

Posture measured, not estimated.

We founded CoreGuardian because we kept watching the same thing: organizations that had deployed every required control, and no way to show that any of them was still working.

GRC checks that a control was deployed. The SOC watches what fires. Engineering knows what it built. Nobody checks, continuously, that the control is still running, still configured correctly, and still doing its job.

That gap is where risk actually lives. CoreGuardian connects read-only to the tools you already run, reconciles them into one record per asset and identity, and verifies control state against policy. Then it ranks the handful of problems that actually put the business at risk — with the audit evidence as a by-product.

One source of truth. Zero blind spots.

We are based in Northern Virginia.

Prashanth Narayanan

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer

Prashanth has spent 23 years in federal cybersecurity, most of it as an architect of continuous monitoring, Zero Trust and asset intelligence programs for civilian agencies. He owned the technical solution on one of the government’s largest continuous cyber-monitoring awards and led every panel response behind it. He has been named a Technical Fellow and an Employee of the Year.

He founded Core Guardian because he kept watching the same thing: agencies that had deployed every required control, and no way to show that any of them was still working. The gap between deployed and working is where the risk actually lives.

He holds the CISSP and the CCIE, and an MBA.

Navid Islam

Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer

Navid has spent 15 years in federal cybersecurity. At DHS he built the first automated FISMA scorecard, replacing multi-day manual reporting with a live one. He has since run asset intelligence, exposure management and governance programs across federal agencies, and taken a product through 3PAO assessment to FedRAMP Moderate authorization.

At Core Guardian he owns the connector framework and the normalization layer — the part that turns read-only APIs into one reconciled record per asset and identity.

He holds an MS in Cyber Security.
